How to Make a Wi Fi Booster Using Only a Beer Can

No comments:
Not only is this clever use of a beer can an ultra cheap tech hack, it also means less fiddling around with cardboard and aluminum foil as required by other hack methods. This method has been proven to improve Wi-Fi reception from around 2 bars to about 4 on average, varying between 3 and 5. Give it a go – all you've got to waste is a beer can!

Edit Steps

  1. 1
Gather the required materials and tools. These are listed below under "Things You'll Need".
  2. 2
Clean the beer can. Make sure there is no residue left inside.
  3. 3
Take the ring-pull off the can.
  4. 4
Cut the end off the beer can where there's no opening. Do this using the Stanley knife or similar suitable safety knife.
  5. 5
Cut around the end with the opening almost all the way. Leave a little bit of metal to keep attached the part that will be the base (see the white line in the illustration).
  6. 6
Cut along the middle of the can in a straight line, opposite to the piece of metal attaching the base.
  7. 7
Being careful, open up the middle piece of metal by bending it until it vaguely resembles the shape of a radar dish.
  8. 8
Place the completed Wi-Fi booster on your router. Place it so that the antenna pokes through the opening, and stick the base of the can to the router with a small piece of poster tack or other suitable adhesive. It's time to test how much your Wi-Fi is now boosted!

Key code lock switch circuit

1 comment:
This key code switch circuit is a type of electronic circuit that is created to replace conventional normal key switch. Without inserts a keys.
But you can press the number code instead of unlock keys. We do not have to carry a load key and do not worry about your keys are lost. We just must remember to commit to a code only.
Feature of this circuit
- For in this circuit uses a four numeric code number and this code number can be changed up to one thousand numbers.
- The case with other people to know our original code. They code can be changed easily.
The circuit is designed to have the reset system, immediately enter the wrong code. so can prevent pressing a random numeric code. Because in this circuit the switches are set to the ten numbers, be the code switch 4 pcs. and be reset switches 6 pcs.
The advantages of having a system reset, suppose we set the code number is 6583, If people do not know the code, they will press random from 0 to 9, It will be has one correct number is 6. But the press randomly in the second round. Not that he would press any number that not the 5, The circuit will reset a number 6 which was originally to be released.
So he will enter a code be correctly, just the first digit only. However, if as without the reset system. Even those who do not know the code, it can be opened is the random pressing in a fourth round only.
When he hit 0-9 from the first round he will correctly hit to the No.6. then he hit the second round will correctly is one no.5 as well. When the full four rounds, it would has a four code so the circuit is working. This difference is quite obvious. When talking about the advantages – and disadvantages, then to look at the circuit and how it works really well.

How it works

This circuit uses an 74HC4017 or CD4017 IC Number that is DECODE Counter model. It serves to change the code. In normal conditions, when we provide a power supply to this circuit be has a positive voltage output at pin 3 of IC1. When you press the switch A-S1, The positive voltage from pin 3 to pass switch to the pin 14 of IC1, which is an input pin.
Then when IC1 has the input is positive voltage, it will move the output from pin 3 to pin 2. so the next switch that must to press to be the switch B – S2 for has the positive voltage at the input of IC1 in next step. As you can see, if we do not press the switch B, it will not change any of the IC.
And if we push a switch wrong away, to press switch that be one of six options on the left hand side of this circuit. It is the positive voltage pass the switch to the input pin 15 that be reset of IC1, When does it matter the pin 15 is given the positive voltage, IC1 will change the output to at pin 3, so it is resetting switch A to restart new again.
If you press the correct always from ABC to D, IC will move output to Pin 10. Which is pin be connected through a diode, and R-10K to pin B of the Q1-2N3904, making the Q1 is conduct, Ry1-relays and LED’s are working together to relay, the light to this circuit work, then let us know. For the five diode that connected to the out of IC1 You are prevented Output is provided to prevent is disturbanced in the code that the two codes are the same as 5385 code.

The connection of keys code.
When we need any code, I provide a call from that number to switch positions, switch A is the first number you want. and The two codes are linked to the switch B, The third code to link to switch c, The four code to link to switch D, All switch the remaining 6 digits or S5 to S10, connect it all together at the N.

CAR ANTI THEFT ALARM

No comments:
CAR ANTI THEFT ALARM

This FM radio-controlled anti- theft alarm can be used with any vehicle having 6- to 12-volt DC supply system. The mini VHF, FM transmitter is fitted in the vehicle at night when it is parked in the car porch or car park. The receiver unit with CXA1019, a single IC-based FM radio module, which is freely available in the market at reasonable rate, is kept inside. Receiver is tuned to the transmitter’s frequency. When the transmitter is on and the signals are being received by FM radio receiver, no hissing noise is available at the output of receiver. Thus transistor T2 (BC548) does not conduct. This results in the relay driver transistor T3 getting its forward base bias via 10k resistor R5 and the relay gets energised. When an intruder tries to drive the car and takes it a few metres away from the car porch, the radio link between the car (transmitter) and alarm (receiver) is broken. As a result FM radio module gene-rates hissing noise. Hissing AC signals are coupled to relay switching circ- uit via audio transformer. These AC signals are rectified and filtered by diode D1 and capacitor C8, and the resulting positive DC voltage provides a forward bias to transistor T2. Thus transistor T2 conducts, and it pulls the base of relay driver transistor T3 to ground level. The relay thus gets de-activated and the alarm connected via N/C contacts of relay is switched on. If, by chance, the intruder finds out about the wireless alarm and disconnects the transmitter from battery, still remote alarm remains activated because in the absence of signal, the receiver continues to produce hissing noise at its output. So the burglar alarm is fool-proof and highly reliable.

Radio Remote Control Using DTMF

Here is a circuit of a remote control unit which makes use of the radio frequency signals to control various electrical appliances. This remote control unit has 4 channels which can be easily extended to 12. This circuit differs from similar circuits in view of its simplicity and a totally different concept of generating the control signals. Usually remote control circuits make use of infrared light to transmit control signals. Their use is thus limited to a very confined area and line-of-sight. However, this circuit makes use of radio frequency to transmit the control signals and hence it can be used for control from almost anywhere in the house. Here we make use of DTMF (dual-tone multi frequency) signals (used in telephones to dial the digits) as the control codes. The DTMF tones are used for frequency modulation of the carrier. At the receiver unit, these frequency modulated signals are intercepted to obtain DTMF tones at the speaker terminals. This DTMF signal is connected to a DTMF-to-BCD converter whose BCD output is used to switch-on and switch-off various electrical applicances (4 in this case). The remote control transmitter consists of DTMF generator and an FM transmitter circuit. For generating the DTMF frequencies, a dedicated IC UM91214B (which is used as a dialler IC in telephone instruments) is used here. This IC requires 3 volts for its operation. This is provided by a simple zener diode voltage regulator which converts 9 volts into 3 volts for use by this IC. For its time base, it requires a quartz crystal of 3.58 MHz which is easily available from electronic component shops. Pins 1 and 2 are used as chip select and DTMF mode select pins respectively. When the row and column pins (12 and 15) are shorted to each other, DTMF tones corresponding to digit 1 are output from its pin 7. Similarly, pins 13, 16 and 17 are additionally required to dial digits 2, 4 and 8. Rest of the pins of this IC may be left as they are. The output of IC1 is given to the input of this transmitter circuit which effectively frequency modulates the carrier and transmits it in the air. The carrier frequency is determined by coil L1 and trimmer capacitor VC1 (which may be adjusted for around 100MHz operation). An antenna of 10 to 15 cms (4 to 6 inches) length will be sufficient to provide adequate range. The antenna is also necessary because the transmitter unit has to be housed in a metallic cabinet to protect the frequency drift caused due to stray EM fields. Four key switches (DPST push-to-on spring loaded) are required to transmit the desired DTMF tones. The switches when pressed generate the specific tone pairs as well as provide power to the transmitter circuit simultaneously. This way when the transmitter unit is not in use it consumes no power at all and the battery lasts much longer. The receiver unit consists of an FM receiver (these days simple and inexpensive FM kits are readily available in the market which work exceptionally well), a DTMF-to-BCD converter and a flip-flop toggling latch section. The frequency modulated DTMF signals are received by the FM receiver and the output (DTMF tones) are fed to the dedicated IC KT3170 which is a DTMF-to-BCD converter. This IC when fed with the DTMF tones gives corresponding BCD output; for example, when digit 1 is pressed, the output is 0001 and when digit 4 is pressed the output is 0100. This IC also requires a 3.58MHz crystal for its operation. The tone input is connected to its pin 2 and the BCD outputs are taken from pins 11 to 14 respectively. These outputs are fed to 4 individual D flip-flop latches which have been converted into toggle flip-flops built around two CD4013B ICs. Whenever a digit is pressed, the receiver decodes it and gives a clock pulse which is used to toggle the corresponding flip-flop to the alternate state. The flip-flop output is used to drive a relay which in turn can latch or unlatch any electrical appliance. We can upgrade the circuit to control as many as 12 channels since IC UM91214B can generates 12 DTMF tones. For this purpose some modification has to be done in receiver unit and also in between IC2 and toggle flip-flop section in the receiver. A 4-to-16 lines demultiplexer (IC 74154) has to be used and the number of toggle flip-flops have also to be increased to 12 from the existing 4.
